Jacob didn’t begin his journey in tech.

He was a songwriter and music producer, releasing tracks on Spotify and chasing the dream. But like many indie artists, he struggled with marketing. The agencies he hired overpromised and underdelivered. So, he did what any resourceful creator would do: he learned how to do it himself.

Building the App Without Writing Code

At first, they didn’t know if it was even possible.

They started by asking one simple question:

“Can we take text input and generate a usable faceless video?”

That was the whole MVP. A rough prototype that proved the concept.

From there, Jacob expanded the build using Bubble, which he describes as “programming in human language.” Instead of writing code, he pieced together workflows visually.

He didn’t stop at functionality. He added user logins, payment systems, a clean UI/UX, and scalability features—all without ever writing code.

And two years later, the entire business still runs on Bubble.

Jacob had no formal coding experience. That didn’t stop him.

They didn’t reinvent the wheel. They just executed:

But it was their first ad—a $200 Twitter thread—that changed everything. It went viral, generating hundreds of thousands of views and early traction.

    Faceless was Jacob’s seventh attempt. Failing fast gave him space to find the winner.

    Without VC pressure, they built lean, moved fast, and focused on value—not vanity.

  4. Build What You Love
    Passion breeds endurance. If you love the work, you’ll survive the rough patches—and win long-term.

  5. Leverage Your Old Skills
    Jacob’s music and marketing background gave them an edge in storytelling. Alex’s filmmaking instincts shaped their creative strategy.

Jacob’s story proves that you don’t need to be a software engineer to build something massive.
